Chemical Peels

Erase blemishes and revitalize your skin.

Colleyville Chemical Peels

Erase acne, scarring, sun damage and more.

A chemical peel is a treatment where a chemical serum is applied to your face that causes the skin to exfoliate and eventually shed your top layer of skin to reveal softer, smoother skin underneath. This treatment is especially good at evening skin tone by removing pigmented blemishes. It can help treat many common facial skin issues, including acne, sun damage, age spots and even fine lines.

It’s important to note that the chemical peel you receive at a spa is generally much more concentrated than the DIY chemical peel products you may have seen at the store. Our spa uses VI Peel chemical peel products, which is the #1 pigment reducing chemical peel, and is only available through trusted practitioners.

Depending on the type of skin issues you may be suffering from, there are different types of chemical peels that can be offered that specifically address your concerns.

For Acne

For acne sufferers, we use the VI Peel Purify product, which is a specially formulated serum to help tackle the skin issues related to acne. It helps clear and open pores, removes acne-causing bacteria and soothes inflammation and redness.

This product specifically treats:

    • Active acne breakouts
    • Congested, oily skin
    • Teen Acne
    • Acne-prone skin

For Aging

For those who would like to erase the signs of aging, we use the VI Peel Precision Plus product. This product contains a special blend of boosters that lighten and brighten your skin to help combat pigmentation issues associated with aging.

This works well in treating:

    • Sun-damages skin
    • Melasma
    • Hyperpigmentation

Is a chemical peel right for you?

A chemical peel is right for anybody who has mild to significant issues of skin tone or texture, resulting from acne, aging or other medical conditions. Chemical peels work for all skin types, from light to dark, and for people with sensitive skin.

The products that we use are medium-depth peels, which means that they’re stronger than what you can buy at the store, but are not so strong that they require long down time. You will experience some redness and sensitivity after the treatment, but that typically subsides within 5-7 days, and most normal activities can still be done.

The results speak for themself.

While you will start to see improvement after your first treatment, it typically takes multiple treatments to get full results.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many chemical peel treatments are needed for full results?
It depends on the severity of your skin condition, but typically a series of 4-6 treatments are recommended for full results.
Are chemical peels painful?
You may feel a mild stinging sensation while the chemical agent is being applied, but this typically subsides within a few minutes.
How long is the recovery?
Generally, it takes 7-14 days before you are fully healed. During this time you will experience some redness and possible swelling immediately after treatment. Shortly after, you will notice skin peeling and some mild scaling.
How long after should I wait to wear make-up again?
You should wait at least 14 days to wear make-up on your skin again to give the skin time to properly heal. It will not be able to exfoliate and heal properly if make-up is applied.
